About TreePros
TreePros connects homeowners with vetted local tree-service professionals — for removal, trimming, stump grinding, hazard assessment, and emergency storm work. We do not perform the work ourselves. Our role is research, vetting, and matching.
What we do
We maintain in-depth, locally-researched content on tree-service work in metros across the United States, focused on what homeowners actually need to know before hiring: realistic price ranges, common project failures, permit requirements where they apply, seasonal timing considerations, and warning signs of structural tree problems.
When you submit a quote request, we match you with up to four ISA-certified arborists or licensed tree-service contractors in your service area. We verify current insurance and credentials at the time a pro is added to our network. The pros that quote your project are the ones that perform the work — not subcontracted out, not handed off through aggregators.
Editorial standards
The TreePros editorial team produces every cost guide, service variant page, and city-specific tree-service page on TreePros. We coordinate with ISA-certified arborists and licensed local tree-service providers to verify pricing benchmarks, hazard assessment guidance, permit requirements (where applicable), and seasonal recommendations. Cost data reflects published industry rate reports cross-referenced with regional contractor surveys; pages are refreshed quarterly.
Verification process: Pricing draws from RSMeans cost data, ISA published rate guidance, and regional contractor surveys. Permit and protected-tree information is sourced from city/county tree ordinance pages directly, with citations on each page.
How we make money
Tree-service professionals pay us a per-lead fee when we connect them with a homeowner who requested a quote. This is the standard home-services lead-matching model. Pros only pay when we deliver a verified lead — they have a strong incentive to quote competitively and deliver excellent service to retain network access.
You never pay for the matching service. Quote requests are free; only the actual work you contract is paid (and you pay the Service Pro directly, not us).
Spot an error?
We update our content quarterly and welcome corrections. If you see a permit office name that's changed, a rebate amount that's out of date, or a city detail that's wrong, email editorial@gotreepros.com. We respond within a few business days.
